Audits & Testing
Security is a top priority for the unRoll protocol. To ensure the safety and reliability of the platform, we will partner with two independent auditing firms to thoroughly audit the smart contracts and overall codebase.
These firms will:
Review the Smart Contracts: Ensuring that all contracts related to trading, liquidity provision, and token management function correctly without vulnerabilities.
Test for Exploits: Auditors will conduct stress tests and simulate attacks to identify potential exploits or vulnerabilities in the protocol.
Verify Compliance: Audits will ensure that unRoll adheres to best practices in the DeFi industry, making sure that the protocol’s mechanisms are transparent and trustworthy.
The audit reports will be made publicly available once they are completed to maintain full transparency with the community.
Bug Bounty Program
To further strengthen the protocol’s security, unRoll will launch an ongoing bug bounty program. This program will invite security researchers and ethical hackers to identify and report any vulnerabilities they find within the unRoll protocol.
Key features of the bug bounty program:
Incentives for Reporting: Participants who identify valid vulnerabilities will be rewarded based on the severity of the issue. Rewards will be paid in $ROLL or $unROLL tokens.
Transparency: Reported vulnerabilities and their resolutions will be made public, ensuring the community is aware of any issues and how they were addressed.
Continuous Monitoring: The bug bounty program will run indefinitely, ensuring that the protocol evolves with the highest security standards.
This program encourages the broader community to contribute to unRoll’s security and helps maintain the integrity of the platform over time.
Best Practices for Users
In addition to the security measures built into the protocol, it’s essential for users to follow best practices to safeguard their assets:
Safeguard Private Keys: Always keep your private keys secure and never share them with anyone. Store them offline in a hardware wallet or secure backup location to prevent unauthorized access.
Use Secure Networks: Avoid using public Wi-Fi or untrusted networks when accessing your Web3 wallet or interacting with the unRoll protocol. Use a VPN for an added layer of protection.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): For any exchange or wallet platform that supports it, enable 2FA to add an extra layer of security to your account.
Regularly Update Your Wallet: Make sure your Web3 wallet, such as MetaMask, is always up to date. Regular updates often include critical security patches.
Beware of Phishing Attacks: Be cautious of any emails or messages that ask for your private keys or direct you to suspicious websites. Always ensure you are interacting with the official unRoll dApp and avoid clicking on unfamiliar links.
By following these best practices, users can enhance their personal security and reduce the risk of losing assets to potential threats.
